Active schools Challenge
Last month, we participated in the Active Schools Challenge. All students received a prize of a pencil case, pencil and coupon for a single child/youth entry into a Strathcona Country recreation facility. These passes expire at the end of June.
Learning Goals for April
French Language ArtsIn FLA, we will continue to write in our journals daily and study different spelling patterns in French. In Writer's Workshop, we will continue working on opinion texts by writing book reviews.
MathematicsWe will continue our multiplication and division unit.
ScienceWe will continue our Building unit. This unit will last until the end of the school year.

English Language ArtsOur focus areas this month will be:
Reading: We will be doing a book club about characters. Writing: We will continue our third Writer's Workshop unit - Fairy Tales. Revising and Editing: Using personal dictionaries to support spelling. We will also continue our daily word sorts Social STudiesMme Davies is guiding us through an inquiry project about different environmental concerns and what we can do to solve them.
